My Sky Plus box is really buggy, for no reason it skips and flickers every 20 – 30 seconds.

a quality issue – 90%
cabling issue – as when I plug in another box the problem disappears.
I have multiroom so swapped boxes thinking if the other box doesn’t have a fault, the original box must be faulty.
How come in the second location of the house, the sky plus box isn’t buggy? I’ve had it in the 2nd location for a week now and no faults – on either box.
When I put the original box back in the original location, the bugs return.
Any ideas? Does the Sky Plus box need replaced???

This is an annoying problem, that is potentially very easy to solve.
Remove anything, and I mean anything from around the Sky box that is cordless. Mobile phone, wireless internet router, baby monitor, cordless land line phone – the lot.
Some Sky boxes can suffer from interference, which gives the symptoms you describe.
If this doesn’t fix it, then it could be the box on it’s last legs.
